Shehanshah Mastana Ji Maharaj (The First Master)

His Holiness Shehanshah Mastana Ji taught the method of meditation (the holy Naam-Shabd) to thousands of people over a period of twelve years (1948-1960). During this period, His Holiness distributed gold, silver, currency notes, clothes, etc. to people motivating them to meditate God’s Words. His Holiness did all this without accepting even a single penny from anyone. People from various parts of the country started coming to Dera Sacha Sauda and became its followers. Shehanshah Mastana Ji incarnated on Kartik Poornima in 1891 in village Kotra, tehsil Gandhey, district Kulait (Balochistan) .Sh. Pillamal Ji was his respected father and Smt. Tulsa Bai Ji, the respected mother.

His Holiness belonged to a kshatriya family. The respected parents named him Shri Khemamal Ji. Later on, His Holiness Huzoor Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj honourably named him as ‘Shah Mastana Ji’. Seeing his true devotion, love and dedication towards the Satguru, Huzoor Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj further honoured him by declaring him, "Mastanon ka Mastana, Shahon Ka Shah -- Shah Mastana Ji". Since childhood, Shah Mastana Ji had great inclination towards God. At the age of 14 years, His Holiness left home in search of a perfect spiritual Guru (teacher). During this search, His Holiness met many individuals who were known for their devotion to God, but none could satisfy his desire to achieve the Truth – the Almighty God.

They told him that they could help him in other aspects but could not make him realize God. At last, after searching for nine years, Shah Mastana Ji reached Beas in the state of Punjab in India. There His Holiness met Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj. Shah Mastnaji attended his Satsang (spiritual congregations) and learned the method of meditation (Naam) from him. Shah Mastana Ji got completely satisfied and developed utmost faith in Baba Sawan Singh Ji Maharaj. Baba Sawan Singh Ji was extremely pleased by the sincere devotion of Shah Mastana Ji. His Holiness bestowed the Spiritual Wealth and eternal blessings upon Shah Mastana Ji. His Holiness entrusted to Shah Mastana Ji the sacred task of conducting Spiritual discourses(Satsang) and teaching Meditation to the people in the provinces of Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab.

Later on, His Holiness Baba Sawan Singh Ji assigned Shah Mastana Ji duty in the vicinity of Bagar a (region of Northern Rajasthan and western Haryana). His Holiness made Shah Mastana Ji his Spiritual successor and sent him to Sirsa in Haryana. This was how Shah Mastana Ji, as per the orders of Baba Sawan Singh Ji, established Dera Sacha Sauda and raised public awareness of Naam-Shabd. Shah Mastana Ji laid the foundation of Dera Sacha Sauda in 1948 in Sirsa. His Holiness laid the principle of earning through hard work and absolutely prohibited acceptance of donations or charity of any kind. His Holiness coined the Nara (slogan) “Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Asra", which is explained as:

‘Dhan Dhan’ (only God is worth praising) — ‘Satguru’ (the Supreme Being) which is synonymous with the words Om, Allah, Waheguru, Ram, Parmatma, God, etc., as used in many of the worlds's religions — ‘Tera Hi Asra’ (we are solely dependant on Him and only He can help us everywhere in all eventualities).

His Holiness built 25 ashrams in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. Facilities of drinking water and langar (community meals) were provided in these ashrams. As per the order of His Holiness, sadhus residing in the Dera used to eat one meal a day and the same practice is still being followed. His Holiness taught the practical method of Meditation to thousands of people in a very simple and prevalent language. His Holiness laid the three basic principles of Dera Sacha Sauda:

  • Only vegetarian food is allowed
  • The drinking of liquor is forbidden
  • Illicit sex is not allowed.
A perfect Spiritual saint is one with God. He incarnates in human form by the order of the Almighty. Having performed his assigned duties, he passes on the responsibility to his successor and returns back to his original eternal place, i.e. the Anami Desh (the home of the Lord). Similarly, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj performed his assigned duties and handed over the prime task to his successor Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj on Feb. 28, 1960 and himself left for his eternal holy abode on Apr.18, 1960.

Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj (The Second Master)

His Holiness Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj incarnated on Jan. 25, 1919 in the holy village-Sri Jalalana Sahib in district Sirsa in Haryana(India). The most respected father Shri Wareyam Singh Ji and most revered mother Aas Kaur Ji were learned and pious souls. His Holiness was an eminent landlord of the village and belonged to a Sidhu family. His Holiness was the only child of his parents. From the very childhood, Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji had true love for God and wanted to achieve Him. So His Holiness started his search for a perfect spiritual saint who could fulfill his desire of realizing God. During this search, His Holiness met many persons who were known as great devotees of God. His Holiness listened to their preachings, practised them after studying them deeply but none could satisfy him and make him achieve his aim.

Once, His Holiness got a chance to attend a spiritual discourse of Mastana Ji Maharaj and to have his pious darshan. His Holiness was very much impressed by Shah Mastana Ji and felt that Shah Mastana Ji was the perfect master, He had been searching for. His Holiness developed utmost faith in Shah Mastana Ji. After that, His Holiness attended Satsangs (spiritual congregations) of Shah Mastana Ji for three consecutive years and also served his fellow deciples selflessly. Whenever His Holiness expressed his desire to learn Meditation (Naam-- the holy Words) from Shah Mastana Ji, Mastana Ji Maharaj refused him saying, “When the time will come, we will call you of our own and will bless you with the Naam. Kaal (the negative Power) will not harm you in any manner till that time and you keep on attending the Satsangs".

On March 14, 1954 Shah Mastana Ji conducted a Satsang (spiritual discourse) in village Ghukeyanwali near Sirsa. After the completion of Satsang, Mastana Ji Maharaj called Shah Satnam Singh Ji and said, "Come inside and sit near the chair. Tonight the order from Almighty has come to teach you Meditation (Naam). Making Shah Satnam Ji sit by his side, Shah Mastana Ji said," We have called you for Meditation (Naam) and have made you sit by our side as we have to entrust you with some very important responsibility. We will make you that leader of "Zindaram" (Spiritualism) who will shower the blessings of Naam (Meditation) on the world". "Sant bachan palte nahin, palat jaye brahamand" — meaning — the statement of a Perfect Saint always proves to be true. The law of universe may change, but the statement of a Spiritual Adept never changes and certainly produces the said effect).

The secret was disclosed by Mastana Ji Maharaj on 28th February, 1960. The respected parents of Shah Satnam Singh Ji had named him Shri Harbans Singh. But, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj, who made him his successor, blessed him with the Spiritual Wealth and honourably named him ‘Shah Satnam Singh Ji’. Shah Mastana Ji said, "We tested Satnam Singh Ji in every manner but never let him have any idea about it. Shah Satnam Singh Ji in order to Learn Meditation (the holy Naam) had to demolish his house and had to bear humiliation." Shah Mastana Ji further said, "Today we have transformed Sardar Satnam Singh Ji from an ordinary person to the Supreme Being". Explaining reason why His Holiness chose the name ‘Satnam’ for his successor, Shah Mastana Ji said, "Satnam is the name of the power which controls the universe. It is the supporting power due to which the world exists".

Then Shah Mastana Ji expressing a doubt, said, "Only a part of the world population believe in Saints and others pay no attention to them. How will they get salvation of the soul which is gripped in the cycle of births and deaths(Cycle of Transmigration)? ". Later Shah Mastana Ji himself explained, "The soul of any such person who will utter ‘Satnam’ or who will have His ( Shah Satnam Singh Ji’s ) pious darshan will never go to hell". His Holiness, in front of a massive public gathering in Dera Sacha Sauda, openly declared Shah Satnam Singh Ji as his Spiritual successor. For this purpose, Shah Mastana Ji also carried out a mass procession in the streets of Sirsa. His Holiness did all this to let people of Sirsa know that Sardar Sahib Ji of Jalalana was the new spiritual head of Dera Sacha Sauda. Shah Mastana Ji left for his heavenly abode on 18th April, 1963. After taking charge of Dera Sacha Sauda, Shah Satnam Singh Ji built the building of Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa on the foundation laid by Shah Mastana Ji.

His Holiness expanded the ashrams built by Shah Mastana Ji and built a new ashram in Barnava near Meerut (Uttar Pradesh). His Holiness wrote more than 20 books and 1500 hymns in different languages. These are very impressive and are written in so simple language that even a 5 year old child can understand them easily. As per the sweet will of Shah Mastana Ji , Shah Satnam Ji started an exemplary system of marriages in the ashram. Under this system, the marriages are held in a very simple manner without any superstitions, customs, extravagant formalities or considerations of dowry. Till today, this practice is going on as such.

Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji had begun to give Naam to the people three years(1963) after the departure of Mastana Ji Maharaj from this world. His Holiness carried out this assigned task with utmost dedication for almost a period of 27 years(1963-1990). His Holiness showered unforgettable blessings and love upon his followers. The devotees will always remain indebted to him for his love and kindness. His Holiness held spiritual discourses(Satsangs) in 2250 villages and many cities of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. His Holiness initiated 11,08429 souls on the path of God-realization in a period of 27 years and 4 months. His Holiness made lakhs of people realize the presence of God by teaching them the method of Meditation. The inspiration provided by the teachings of His Holiness enabled lakhs of people to give up non-vegetarian food, liquor and illicit relationships.

In the year 1989, Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji expressed his desire to pass all his rights to the deserving successor. In this regard, for one year and two months, His Holiness held regular meetings and consultations with his disciples so that no doubts regarding the validity of successor should arise afterwards. His Holiness said " We don’t want any confusion or infringement to arise regarding the successor as has been happening earlier. Therefore, we will appoint our successor in such a magnificent way which noone has ever been able to do and nor anyone will ever be able to do in future". On 23rd September,1990, in a formal ceremony in Dera Sacha Sauda, His Holiness, in the presence of large number of devotees, appointed and declared Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji as his successor. Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji, while addressing the devotees, said, "The divine blessings have been showered upon Sant Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh Ji are as per the order of Mastana Ji Maharaj. It was the will of the Lord and so it has happened. We have appointed Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji as our successor". Also, Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji issued an order which is as follows:
Any person who will love Sant Ji (Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Maharaj), will mean that he loves us (Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji). Anyone who will obey him, obeys us. A person who trusts him, trusts us. If anybody has ill feeling for him, it means he has the same for us.
This spiritual wealth is never bestowed upon seeing the false show off. The person to whom this spiritual wealth is granted is an enlightened one right from his birth. Satguru, by his grace, brings him before public. Satguru showers his blessings on his successor and makes him do the work which the people of the world cannot even imagine.
A Muslim Saint has rightly said:--

“Wich sharabe rang musalla, je Murshid farmave, Wakifkar kadimi hunda, galti kadi na khave".

[ This means that whatever order one receives from the Satguru (the Spiritual Master) should be complied with because Satguru can never be wrong. In this context, it means that Satguru himself knows the secret regarding his successor which he discloses at the appropriate time. His order should be complied with].

All this has happened in a manner similar to the one in which Shehanshah Mastana Ji had performed this ceremony (declaration of the successor). At that time no body could understand it. Later on they had to accept it. This happened with kindness and blessings of Mastana Ji Maharaj. No power in the world could affect the blessings that Shah Mastana Ji bestowed upon Shah Satnam Singh Ji. Every such person who will comply with the order of his Satguru will always be happy. Negative thoughts(Mun) may try to mislead you, but a devotee who remembers and follows the orders of his Satguru (the Master) will be able to save himself from the negative moves and the Satguru will always be present with him.

Hukumnama ( The Order): Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj, Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa (Haryana). Dated : 23rd September, 1990. With this ceremony, Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji handed over the charge of Dera Sacha Sauda and its followers to Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji and said "From today onwards we have made ourselves free from the responsibilities of the Dera. Now our work is to only have a simple meal and pray to God. Sant Ji (Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Maharaj) will take care of all the affairs of the Dera. Any person who wants to contact us for some work, should contact Sant Ji. We will only watch the coming devotees". The Supreme Being incarnates on this planet in the form of a true Spiritual Saint to show mankind the right path which leads to their actual goal i.e. to to get salvation for their souls from the vicious cycle of birth and death( cycle of transmigration) by realizing God. Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji was the Spiritual Adept who incarnated in this world for this very purpose. His Holiness performed his duty very successfully, passed on his spiritual wealth to his successor and went back to his original home – the Home of the Lord on December 13, 1990.

Maharaj Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji (The Present Master)

His Holiness Huzoor Maharaj Sant Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh Ji incarnated on Aug. 15, 1967 to the most revered father, S. Magghar Singh Ji and the most respected mother, Smt. Nasib Kaur Ji, in the holy village SriGurusarmodia, district SriGanganagar, in the state of Rajasthan, in India. S.Magghar Singh Ji is a landlord and is the head of the village. Mata Naseeb Kaur is a dedicated devotee of the Lord.

Shah Mastana JI in his last satsang (spiritual discourse) in January, 1960 had repeatedly said, "Exactly after seven years we will come again in the form of the third body (the Third Master). Sometimes people do not at once believe the words of Saints, but when the said thing is proved true, then they realize its significance. Similarly, at that time no devotee could understand this statement of Shah Mastana Ji. It proved true and was realized when Huzoor Maharaj Sant Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh Ji incarnated on 15th, August 1967, exactly after the completion of the said seven years.

His Holiness is the only child in his family. As such, His Holiness was the favourite of all and was loved by all. Deeds and activities of His Holiness from the very childhood illustrated that he was not an ordinary child. The respected parents also came to realize that their son is not mere a child, but was the image of the Lord. Therefore, they never hurt him physically or verbally. The natives of the village also had come to know about the great soul. His Holiness, since childhood, was of very kind and helping nature. His Holiness helped the poor and the needy financially and in every required way. These inborn qualities of His Holiness are a part of his personality today as well. His Holiness at the age of seven got Naam from Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji at Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa on 31st, March 1974. In other words, one Master Saint found the other one. After getting Naam, His Holiness motivated his friends to get the same.

During his education, His Holiness showed excellent results in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. Whatever task His Holiness used to begin doing, he did it with great dedication and confidence. At the age of eight, His Holiness had started driving tractor for agricultural purposes in his fields. His Holiness used to take rest after finishing the work he had started. On 23rd September, 1990 the actual secret was disclosed when Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji invited his disciples from all over the country and conducted an influential satsang in which His Holiness declared Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji as his successor to the throne. In a formal ceremony, Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj bestowed the Spiritual Wealth upon Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji and handed over the charge of the Dera to him. This auspicious day, 23rd September, 1990 is an important day not only in the history of Dera Sacha Sauda, but also in the history of mankind.

His Holiness left his family at the age of 23 and sacrificed his personal life completely to serve humanity. His Holiness has been working tirelessly to spread the message and divine blessings of Shah Satnam Singh Ji all over the world. The Present Master has initiated over 10 million souls on the path of God-realization. His Holiness has transformed many atheists towards the field of spiritualism. His Holiness has motivated lakhs of people to do selfless service to mankind. His Holiness made millions of people realize the presence and importance of God who is present within us all. It is a big landmark in the history of mankind. His Holiness stated, "All those people who will remember Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj by repeating Naam-Shabd with pure heart, will definitely be honoured by the pious vision i.e. the live presence of Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj". Also, His Holiness said, "Any disciple who will make a request for the fulfillment of a reasonable desire to the Satguru by meditating at around 3’o clock early in the morning, that request will directly reach the Satguru and will definitely be accepted by him".

His Holiness has built more than a dozen ashrams in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Chandigarh. His disciplined life, extra-ordinary hard work and supreme love for humanity becomes explicitly clear by seeing his busy schedule. Proverbs such as ‘Service to mankind is service to the God’ & ‘Love is God and God is Love’, get perfectly and precisely exemplified by watching his activities. His Holiness has also composed hundreds of hymns and has written many books. A remarkable system has been started by Huzoor Maharaj Ji, where by, the childless couples are blessed with children, given by families having more children. Hundreds of such children have already been transferred. To enhance community participation in the welfare works, His Holiness has organized the followers into functional blocks. Each block consists of around 30 villages ( approximately 5-10 thousand volunteers ).

In every block, there is a committee of 5 responsible persons each of whom is known as ‘punch’. In their respective blocks, these teams direct the humanitarian and welfare works like providing free medical treatment to poor patients, constructing houses for the poor, giving financial help for marriage of destitute girls, donating blood and eyes, solving cases of disputes without litigation etc.

At the state level, His Holiness has organized a team of 10 persons which supervises the welfare works done by the blocks in their state and settles the dispute cases which the punch members at the block level have failed to solve. To do disaster relief and humanitarian work, His Holiness formed a special welfare team ‘Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Force ’. More than 15,000 persons have already been registered in this force. Inspired by His Holiness, these members have vowed to serve humanity during natural disasters in any part of the world. In the direction of welfare of humanity, Huzoor Maharaj Ji’s ceaseless efforts are still under way. Huzoor Maharaj Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji is carrying out his duties with all the dedication and is showering his blessings on the humanity. Under the superb guidance of His Holiness, Dera Sacha Sauda is progressing in all respects. Day by day, the number of devotees is increasing and the message of truth is being conveyed throughout the world. People from various countries like U.S.A., Canada, U.A.E., Australia, U.K., etc. come to Dera Sacha Sauda to acquire the wealth of Naam from the Perfect Master. With the grace of Huzoor Maharaj Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh JI and his hardwork towards the upliftment of humanity, Dera Sacha Sauda is progressing by leaps and bounds.

Huzoor Maharaj Ji expresses:-

" Na hum kiya na kar saken, na hi hum kuchh janat, Jo kiya karenge Shah Satnam Ji, bhayo Sant hi Sant".

( It means, neither we have done nor we can do anything. We do not know anything. Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji has done whatever has been done and His Holiness will only do whatever will be done).

Dhan Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Aasra

True Happiness Comes From Ram Naam, Not From Wealth

Sirsa, October 12, 2008:

In the Satsang held today at Shah Satnam Ji Dham, Sirsa, Sant Gurmeet Ram-Rahim Singh Ji Insan expounded on the pricelessness of human birth and called it a golden opportunity to chant God’s Name. H.H. said that in the human birth man has the golden opportunity in his hands to attain to God, but he has forgotten his original aim and is busy accumulating wealth. H.H. also advised the faithful to stay away from people driven by their minds and to have firm faith only in the Satguru and not to trust anyone else in a blind manner. In the Satsang addressed in Punjabi, faithful in large numbers had come from Punjab. After the Satsang, H.H. gave Naam Deeksha to 1,053 people. The following are excerpts from the Satsang:

The human birth is a golden opportunity for man to chant the Name of God, but man has forgotten God and has made achieving worldly happiness the aim of his life. He does not care to look beyond his own selfish needs, comforts and pride.

It is necessary that a person earns his living through rightful means. One cannot find happiness if one snatches someone else’s bread and eats it. Only by earning a livelihood through rightful means can one find peace. Today corruption, deceit and theft are on the increase and man has only one ambition left inside him – how to accumulate wealth. No matter how much wealth one earns, one can never have peace solely through it. Only through God’s Name can one find peace. Many people think that one can attain to the happiness of heaven if one has money. But in reality, from the poorest to the richest, everyone has his own problems and no one seems to be happy. For the poor the fact that he has very little money troubles him; for the one from the middle class, the fact that he is unable to fulfill some of his desires troubles him; and the rich person is worried about how to protect his wealth. One does not want to derive happiness from what one already possesses. The small have small problems and the big have big problems, and no one is happy.

The sadh-sangat has to be alert against those who mislead them and make them fight against each other for their own selfish ends. Do not be mislead by people who are driven by their minds and do not become puppets in their hands. Use your own intelligence to make decisions and abide by the teachings of the Guru. Do not trust people blindly. In today’s terrible age, people are selling themselves. People are selling even their religion and faith. Therefore, only God is worthy of trust in today’s age. It is necessary to trust people while living in society, but the one who is worthy of unlimited trust is only the Satguru, who will never breach one’s trust and will always help one at every step. Before you accept someone’s advice, analyse it thoroughly with your intellect and only then decide on whether to accept the advice or to reject it.

The time that is gone will never come back. As man’s age progresses, he comes closer and closer to death. In order to become worthy of God’s grace, you must learn to respect time. Those who respect time, miseries do not afflict them. Abandon idleness. Idleness brings with it a hundred problems. Idleness distances man from Prabhu, Rabb. Those who have received God’s grace and those who desire to receive it, they abandon idleness. It is not difficult to abandon idleness. The time that you have in your hands is not meant just for eating and drinking. This time has been provided to you to attain to Prabhu, Paramatma; to taste his never-ending treasure of ambrosia. The moments that are going away from your life, these are taking you closer to death. If a person loses his way during the day but comes back home during the night, he is no more called a lost person. The same way, if you have done any wrongs in the past, do not repeat them. If a person does a mistake but repents for it, then he need not suffer the consequences of the mistake. Give up idleness and start working in order to attain to the real purpose of life.

If one does good deeds and chants the Name of God, one receives the happiness of both worlds in this very life.

(At the end of the Satsang, six young couples entered wedlock in the holy presence of Hazur Pitaji. Also, Guruji handed over the keys of the houses built by the sadh-sangat for two needy families to the families.)

Guruji’s responses to questions asked during the Satsang:

Q. What are the fruits of one Satsang?
A. The fruits of the Satsang are dependent on implementation. The fruits of one moment of a Satsang is equal to more than 50 years of devotion. One receives the fruits of selfless service and meditation during the Satsang if one abides by what is taught in the Satsang.

Q. When a young boy dies, is it that he takes revenge on his family?
A. When a young boy dies, it means that he has only that much time destined with the family. Often this has to do with the workings of karma. It could be that in the previous birth the family had tormented him in some way and that that is why in this birth he tormented the family with his death. But this does not happen all the time and it does not mean that he was the enemy of family.

Q. What is the relationship between man’s soul and his body? What should one’s relationship be with other souls?
A. Without the soul there is no body and without the body there is no identity for the soul. When the soul takes a body, only then does it get a name. But if there is no soul, then the body is disposed off, burnt or buried. As far as relationships, other than the relationship between husband and wife, all other relationships should come under the category of father-mother, brother-sister or son-daughter.

Q. Man gets bad thoughts from the mind, the mind is the root of everything sinful, but where does the mind get bad thoughts from?
A. The mind gets sinful thoughts from Kaal and it is a part of Kaal. One should not be driven by the mind. Those who follow the mind, they are always unhappy.

Q. What is the meaning of hath kaar bal mann yaar bal?
A. Its meaning is that one should practice devotion through work as well as through knowledge; that while doing one’s worldly duties, one’s mind should be connected with the Satguru.

Q. After listening to the Satsang, for four to five days the effect of the Satsang is felt, but after that slowly the effect starts waning away. What does one do about this?
A. For this you must attend Satsangs on a regular basis, do selfless service and meditation, and listen to Naam Charcha once a week without fail.

Sirsa (October 8, 2008):
The anniversary of the passing away of the revered Bapu Magghar Singh Ji (father of Hazur Pita Gurmeet Ram-Rahim Singh Ji Insan) was commemorated today by Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Force as Paramarthi Diwas. A massive blood donation and free medical camp was organised on this occasion. Thirteen teams from blood banks from different parts of the country participated in this camp and collected 4,407 units of blood. In the free medical camp held simultaneously, specialist doctors checked 1,519 patients suffering from heart ailments, cancer, diabetes and other diseases and gave them medicines.

Before this, Hazur Pita Ii inaugurated the camp by joining ribbons and met the doctors who had come to attend the camp and gave them his blessings. Members of the holy family including Mata Naseeb Kaur Ji Insan (the revered mother of Hazur Pitaji) and others initiated the blood donation proceedings. Members of the managing committee of the Dera and other prominent people were present on the occasion.

In the blood donation camp, which is an annual event in the Dera calendar held in remembrance of Bapuji, thirteen blood banks participated including Sonipat Blood Bank; Indian Red Cross Society, Ludhiana; PGI, Rohtak; Paras Blood Bank, Jodhupur; Civil Hospital, Hissar; Lions Blood Bank, Delhi; Civil Hospital, Sirsa; Sri Krishna Hospital Society, Ludhiana; AIIMS Trauma Center Blood Bank, Delhi; and City Blood Bank, Bhiwani. The faithful had begun forming long queues in the morning itself to donate blood and pay their obeisance to Bapu Ji. Besides the general public, thousands of volunteers of Shah Satnam Ji Green ‘S’ Welfare Force from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and other states donated blood. The staff and students (both boys and girls) of Shah Satnam Ji Educational Institutions including many of its athletes also donated blood. Notably, women in prominent numbers participated in the blood donation. Some of the doctors who had come to provide their services during the event also donated blood, including Dr. Tanuj Dada, Dr. Geeta Dada, Dr. Hemali Insan and Dr. Kuldeep Sharma Insan. The celibate resident volunteers of the Dera also donated blood.

The spirit behind the camp was evident from the happy faces of the donors after donating blood and the sad faces and tears in the eyes of those who were not allowed to donate for various health reasons. The camp that began in the early hours of the morning continued into the evening.

The Spectacular Journey of The Soul

धन धन सतगुरु तेरा ही आसरा
In Sacha Sauda, Sach means Om, Hari, Allah, Khuda, Rabb, Waheguru, God and Sauda means taking man’s miseries, worries, problems, tensions, pains and giving him Allah, Waheguru, Ram, God’s Name in return. Sacha Sauda is the place where oneness of God is taught. It is the confluence of all religions. There is no inferior or superior here; no high or low castes. Whoever comes here, sings the praises of Allah, Malik, and eats the bread earned through hard work. The individuals who walk on this path, on them God bestows His grace. As he keeps doing this Sacha Sauda, he reaches that Sacha Sauda from where the road that leads to God begins. This is between one’s eyes, which in different religions are named the tenth door, the eye of knowledge, the point of very deep sleep, and Mehrab, and this point has been called Sacha Sauda by Shah Mastana Ji. As soon as you reach this point, you will find your Malik, Satguru, Ram waiting for you since ages wondering when you will awaken, when you will practice devotion, and when you will get liberated. As soon as the soul reaches the Sacha Sauda by taking the Name of Malik, the Name of Prabhu, it achieves liberation from repeated births; all miseries and difficulties go away; and the soul becomes filled with the happiness of God. Those souls are fortunate that have the longing as to when it will find God, when it will end its repeated births, and when it will find that happiness that is millions of times greater than any other happiness and that which is eternal and not momentary. To be able to experience this happiness you should practice remembrance and do selfless service.

You should focus your attention on the tenth door and meditate diligently. During meditation you will see a point of light. Focus all your attention, all your thoughts on that one point. As soon as your concentration comes to that one point, the soul will extricate itself from the body and reach there. The signs of this are that the light will change into a sweet feeling, a kind of attraction. As soon as your soul leaves your body, your body will become numb. It will be as if there is no life in the body, but your heart, brain, pulse all will keep working, and your body will find that comfort and relief which cannot be gotten through any other means. As soon as the soul reaches there, that which will be visible there will be beyond words. After that, the soul will ascend and descend, because there are such paths there where Kaal-Mahaakaal has his kingdoms. In that plane you will find very beautiful men and women dancing. You will find musical instruments, which are thousands of times better than the ones of this world, being played there. You will find such sweet waves; golden lakes, the water of which would look like gold flowing. There will be diamonds and other precious stones on trees. Those souls that are not led by the Perfect Guru, they reach there and limit themselves to that place and think that that is everything and they get trapped there. This is the delusional play of Mahakaal. But the soul of the Perfect Guru latches on to the voice of its Satguru and, seeing these things, keeps moving and reaches that place which is smaller than the head of a needle. As soon as the soul enters through that, it sees the spiritual plane of the Paarbrahm, where there are heights and depths greater than lakhs of kilometers. The soul enters this plane. When the soul falls here it feels as if it is falling for lakhs and crores of kilometers, but the voice of the Satguru keeps guiding it and giving it company. Then, when the souls reach Sachkhand, Nijdhaam, the scenery there would be beyond narration.

So, this journey begins at the tenth door. During this journey one sees those souls that are suffering, that are stuck in spiritual planes, and Kaal keeps tormenting them. Heavens and hells are visible; the three gods, Mahadev, all are visible. Only after these does the individual soul enter the Paarbrahm plane.

All these things are a secret, but these can be seen and experienced if you practice meditation. After the tenth door, there are many visions. Even Kaal-Mahakaal gives out light, which deludes the soul because it would never have seen such brilliant light, and the soul thinks this is God. But the brilliance of the light of God is different. In one pore of His body there is the light of hundreds of suns. You cannot look directly at the sun, but when you look at God’s light, you will not feel like turning away from it.

What has been described so far is like showing a lamp to the sun. This is only a glimpse. The whole scenery is something else. But those whose attention has been focused, those who have gone inside, only they can understand these. The meditator is not scared even of death. He becomes carefree.

There are Satsangis who mislead other Satsangis. If one boasts to you about the way his soul is climbing and the visions he is having, know that he is hungry for fame. There are people who lie about these things; so you have to be careful. It does not happen that God enters someone and gives him orders. These are means that people use to rob others. It never happens in spirituality that the Guru-Satguru appears inside someone and asks him to create a lot of noise. Second, even if the Guru-Satguru says something it would be only for the benefit of that person and his family. It would not be that the Satguru appears inside someone and orders others to buy him a car or other such things. And if this is happening, then know that it is a lie and all rubbish. In this terrible age you will find many such people who rob others. When someone says to you that through meditation he is doing this and doing that, then tell him, “Brother, be silent. If you meditate, it is for yourself, your family, and for you to behold God. What have we got to do with it?” And that will put him in his place. But if you come under his spell, then he will rob you of your things and go away. This is why you must not fall for pretences. When the Satguru reveals Himself, he does it openly and says that I am in this body. Like Murshid-e-Kamil Shah Satnam Ji, who said that he will come as a young person.

So you must not fall a prey to pretentious people and lose your earnings of devotion and God’s grace and blessings. Focus on selfless service and meditation so that you can receive the happiness of God.

A Report on Guruji’s Mahendragarh (Hry.)Satsang on 30 September,2008

Dhan-Dhan Satguru Tera Hi Aasra

Hazur Pita Sant Gurmeet Ram-Rahim Singh Ji Insan, who is involved in guiding people away from bad habits and putting them on the straight path of Ram Naam and building a healthy society, today held a Satsang near Riwasa Railway Gate in Mahendragarh, Haryana. Lakhs of people from the surrounding areas participated in the Satsang and acquainted themselves with the significance of Ram Naam. Looking at the huge crowds that came to the Satsang, which was being held for the first time in Mahendragarh, it was as if the whole population of the area had gathered there to listen to Guruji. Guruji during the Satsang in his sweet voice explained the significance of Ram Naam, along with describing the ill effects of intoxicants and social evils like female foeticide and inviting people to give up these evils.
Guruji during his discourse said that in this age of degeneration it is a big thing that Ram Naam is being discussed. Guruji discussed the different religions of the world and said that one must not hurt others by one’s actions and that one must definitely spend a portion of one’s earnings for the benefit of the poor and ailing. He said that today man has become very selfish. When he is sad he remembers God, but in happiness he does not remember Him. If man remembers Him even in happiness, then he will not face any problems at all. Man finds time to eat, drink, sleep, do business, attend to children, and do other worldly things, but he does not have time for God.
Guruji said that if man spends even 15 minutes in the remembrance of God, God accepts it, but the focus of his attention should be only Him during the whole time. Guruji said that if man remembers God in a focused manner, he can change his destiny. Devotion to God should be done with a true heart because God looks for true devotion and not material offerings.
Calling upon man to become a Karma Yogi and a Gyan Yogi at the same time, Guruji gave the examples of Sri Ram and Sri Krishna-Sudama. He said that action without knowledge could go wrong. Quoting saints who have talked about bribery, corruption, and earning one’s living through cruelty to others, Guruji said that by doing these things man brings upon himself mountains of miseries. By earning one’s living through hard work there is peace and happiness in one’s home. One must spend a portion of one’s earnings in the service of the ailing, in food for the poor, or in the service of animals and birds. But in this age of degeneration there is more selfishness than selflessness. Because of selfishness, today man has become the enemy of man. In today’s age, humaneness is coming to an end. If man meditates on the Ram Naam then his most dangerous of karmas can come to an end. To realize God, man must listen to the Satsang. The Name of Ram is a remedy for all ailments. The Name of God helps one get rid of bad habits and intoxicants.

People Take Oath Against Intoxicants
Guruji warned people against using intoxicants. He said that the intoxication of worldly substances does not last long and wears off in hours, but the intoxication of Ram Naam lasts for a lifetime and even spills over into the next world. Informing the people present on the ill effects of intoxicants, Guruji said that intoxicants are dirty and because of it man falls a victim to many an incurable illness and there is no peace or happiness in the family. On the invitation of Guruji, large numbers of people among the gathering raised both their hands and vowed to stay away from intoxicants. They took out beedis, cigarettes, tobacco, and other such intoxicants from their person and threw them away and these were collected by volunteers and burnt.

Female Foeticide: A Grave Sin
Guruji termed female foeticide as a grave sin. He said that people are killing foetuses using injections and scissors and even taking the aid of computers for this. Later the remains of the foetuses are thrown into garbage bins and dogs feed upon these. The father who allows this to happen is not man enough, the mother who does this is nothing less than a witch, and the doctor who takes the life of the child can be compared to an executioner. If female foeticide continues then there will be unruliness in the country and the society will suffer. Guruji requested everyone to allow the girl child to be born and to take good care of it, and if they are unable to do so, to give the child to him so that he could bring them up at the ashram.

Statistics on Foeticide
Guruji gave statistics on the large number of foetuses that are being killed in India everyday and every year; on the number of mothers who die of infection during abortions in a year; and also the number of foetuses killed in the country in the past century. Guruji also gave instances of cannibalism in today’s age where people are feeding on foetuses.
During the Satsang Guruji answered questions asked by intellectuals and reporters who were present at the function. These questions were mainly about ghosts and spirits; pretences in the name of religion; the sources of income of the ashram; the saints Dhanna Bhagat and Ravidas; God being in every particle; the method of meditation and fasting; the signs of God realization; which soul was born first during creation; the necessity for security for saints; on the desire for salvation; unique methods of devotion; penance and knowledge; why the Gurumantra is secret; the secret of life; the lack of peace of mind; why man is becoming cruel; whether the Ram Setu is imaginary or real; etc. Guruji answered these questions to the satisfaction of the questioners.
